New York State Archives Month is celebrated in October with a wide variety of public programs and activities throughout the state that highlight the importance of archival and historical records in our lives and our communities and that honor the work of the state’s keepers of history.

New York State Archives Awards are given each year by the State Archives and the Archives Parternership Trust to honor some of the best of the state’s history keepers, from exemplary repositories to the finest student researchers.
